Let me tell you... at my work I hear a lot of Spanish language radio. There are really only five or six songs in rotation on the station. One of them is a female-sung ballad that's profoundly and irritatingly conventional, BUT there's one point at the end of the chorus where the chord sequence and melody are *exactly* like Kidney Bingos (until a more pedestrian resolve kills it). For bonus points the harmony line is identical to the one Elastica used in their rewrite of Kidney Bingos.. I think it was called There Is No Time, but I get Elastica's many psuedo-Wire-covers confused sometimes. I'm also fairly sure the lyrics don't translate to anything containing the phrase "organ fun", but couldn't swear to it. I'll ask my coworker who the artist is the next time it comes on, which will be soon. - -Rex ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Mar 2005 11:24:32 -0500 From: PaulRabjohn@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Wire in this months MOJO i think elastica's kidney bingos remake is called "nothing ever stays the same". by far their worst wire re-write , doesn't work for me at all. meanwhile klang don't seem to be getting off the ground at much velocity. and i presume justine has retired from music for her "media career"? hmmm. p ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V8 #59 ******************************
