Ah, the exception that proves the rule. It was originally called Snickers and changed to Marathon for the UK. Snickers was apparently the name of the inventor's dog, trivia fans. Thanks for that Paul. Everyone's opinions are valid. I bet the Ex-Lion Tamers (who did the last song on the Drill tribute) never listened to it (Dugga Dugga Dugga) once it was released. Theirs is the only real drumkit on that whole CD! Hah, hah, hah. (I wonder what it is like to listen to Dome when you're a drummer. Any drummers out there?) Hear one in the ...erm....silicon, and the zip on your wallet will self-lubricate....;-) Cheap they aren't, but I reckon it's worth it. What's a new 'Mistress going for now? IIRC, even the Russian-made ones are around #120, and these units *really* raise the bar, IMHO. I've started saving for one, anyway.... :-) Still having the ol' EM to be going on with isn't a hardship, though. However, this 'Queen of FX' has been deposed.... at long last. I'll stick with my cheapo multi-Fx and the computer, seeing as i'm not in a Hendrix covers band this will do for me! //// Nor am I in a 'Hendrix covers band' either, Tim, so that 'sniffy' tone whistles on by yet again:- :-P I just thought referencing a *fairly* well-known piece of studio-flanging to illustrate a point would best convey how tasty this box was, I am , however, a musician who does break out from the bedroom & do gigs occasionally, and for that I won't be lugging a computer around. Nor would I use a digital flanger. It's purely a taste thing. I'm something of a luddite in terms of the hardware I'd *personally* use in a live set-up. Tired of spam? Yahoo! Ari<< It was changed over here too - but nothing to do with christians. It was to do with copyrights - it had all manner of different regional names (Ulaz, Olez, Olaz etc) presumably because importers had copyrighted the original Ulay. The product's owners simply standardised it on one when copyrights ran out after the product was 50 years old.
