["Keith Astbury" Subject: [idealcopy] Fw: would you mind ... from Dan... would you mind .. posting this to idealcopy? much thanks ... having been advised that quite a few listmembers are concerned about my (un)well-being in the wake of my leaving the list, i'm asking keith to post this assurance that i'm still alive & kicking. (were i to have vacated this mortal coil [or some other apposite 4ad band name], probably i'd find some way to communicate with robert lynn, so i daresay the list would know about *that* as well.) wish i had more to say, but nothing of any particular note has occurred within the last few week, & besides, my fingers are too damned stiff from the cold to peck out many more letters ... what's that? oh, yeah -- this afternoon a representative of a local heating & air company advised me that the reason my central heat hasn't run for 1 minute the last half-week, despite lows down to freezing (more like 20 as this is typed -- whoopee!), is that some vital part is cracked all to hell & i need a new unit. sometimes, all one can do is laugh at the ludicrousness of it all. to quote josef k, "it's kinda funny." my deepest thanks for all the good wishes & expressions of concern, dan ps -- oh, & as a possibly positive sign, i should note that after probably a month of listening to no music other than the holiday standards & oldies piped into my workplace at the mall, the last couple of days days i've spent a fair amount of time spinning a newly acquired desperate bicycles cdr on my bedroom ghetto blaster ... "it won't happen here/they can't do it to me/i've got nothing to fear/never seen the spg" -- *brilliant* song that cries out for a slight rewrite in the face of certain of the bush administration's "anti-terrorist" policies. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2005 17:34:49 +0000 From: near_0@comcast.net Subject: Re: [idealcopy] ot- surreal spammage I remember viewing that first go round.
