It's not that such a "stick my fingers right up your nose" punk-era band was doing some very smooth and atmospheric music by the early 80s that bothers me, because they still had an attitude with that cooler sound; but later, even before Cornwell left, it seems a great blandness took over--like it was another band of entirely different individuals using the Strangler's name. Is it just me? What's the consensus here?
