Hi all, Andy here from Cuban Heel (www.cubanheel.net). Being a lifelong Wrexham Fan stuck here in Essex since the age of 7, I feel I am going to do my little bit in keeping the club afloat. Next week on Tuesday 16th November (just before the tax a*ses get involved) we are performing here in London at: Caernarvon Castle (nice Welsh name), 7-8 Chalk Farm Rd, London, NW1 8AA I have talked to the others in the band (also Footy Fans) and they have agreed any money we make can go to the fighting fund. We will also have a collecting bucket to scrape the coppers out of the cockneys! I will be proudly wearing my Wrexham shirt on stage and the rest of you that come are encouraged to do the same. We will be on stage at 9PM and we have a 50 minute set for you all. Anyone that comes is helping save our glorious club. We can do this. If you visit our website and download the Wrexham Flyer, it will help the doorman know who has come to see us and let us have the correct money for the club! www.cubanheel.net If you want any more details, visit the web site. Pass the message on.... or you can email me at adavies@seib.co.uk or cubanheelmusic@hotmail.com See you all Tuesday night Diolch Andy (essex Red) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Nov 2004 14:39:13 -0000 From: "Keith Astbury" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Peel funeral > Didn't they play teenage kicks? as the coffin was carried out apparently. I feel I got the feel of the occasion, albeit at 2nd hand, and it added to the news footage I saw of the event, which was more celebrity-orientated. Thanks, Keith. And farewell, John. Thanks for the pleasure and musical education I got at the hands of your show all those years.
