I was really surprised that Guitar Wanker Magazine's "worst solos" list picked "Noise Annoys" over "Boredom". Both are actually great, but they don't have many, how you say... notes in them. Pete Shelley's broken guitar was really cool, too. That there is a signature model that might interest me... especially if Shelley himself personally bashed the top third off of each instrument as it came off the assembly line. - -Rex - -- "Maybe baby election twelve who I really am!" - -Miranda Mellbye Broome ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Nov 2004 23:30:59 +0200 From: "Glenn & Cecile" Subject: [idealcopy] Basslines Glad you concur, Rex. > "Noise Annoys" over "Boredom". It's was Paul's bassline wasn't it? I know of all members he was the one mostly into reggae. I remember Mick (on The Essential Clash DVD) jokingly tell about how against most of Paul's basslines he couldn't play anything else than a chugga chugga reggae guitarline. Heard the Brixton-line the other day on Cypress Hill's Whats Your Number. Not bad. Bart ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V7 #328 *******************************
