This is even if you limit yourself to covers released before it was hip to cover them and release complete albums. I think you can still find the Swedish classical music release (check online stores, I saw it not long ago). If I recall correctly, there are three versions from the Swans -- the red, the black and the acoustic. There is also one whole album called CLOSER STILL that you can easily find around. If you are not looking for the records, or want to find only the decent covers (there are not that many), then check with the new order websites (worldinmotion.net, neworderonline.com, etc.) and see what you can manage. cheers! - -fernando On Sat, 21 Aug 2004 20:45:24 -0600, Paul Ye wrote: > I am looking for Joy Division remakes to make my own compilation. The balance of probability says that this wasn't an instrumental version of a classic Devo song being played for prematch entertainment. As such, anybody any ideas what it might have been? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2004 08:26:20 +0200 From: Bart van Damme Subject: Re: [idealcopy] o.t. somebody's nicked the scream > Apparently there's a few different orginals, but "armed robbers have = > stolen the iconic Edvard Munch painting, The Scream, from the Munch = > Museum in Norway." Yeah, you'd think they would have tightened up the security after the other version was stolen in '94. This also was during the Olympic (winter) period. A connection? Only a few weeks ago I saw a documentary about the painting(s). Funny how differently a once really cutting-edge painting is perceived in our time. Any of you seen the Scream blow-up dolls? TAMED! Anyway, I liked the other stolen painting (Madonna) better. Bart ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V7 #248 *******************************
