Normally I'd stay miles away from technical gear topics, but last year I was asked to design a website about the subject (which I did). Hope it's any help. Bart "This web site is dedicated to the DVD+RW and DVD+R format, and as such it is by far the largest -independent- online source for DVD+RW information. It will provide you with lots of product information, technical stuff, downloads, promotional material, compatibility lists, media overviews and other resources about DVD+RW. This site provides you with the most interesting, unique and up-to-date DVD+R and DVD+RW related information available on the web. Have a look around, and make sure to come back regularly as we will frequently add more intresting material! Don't forget to visit our discussion forum for all your DVD+RW questions, comments and inquiries." http://www.dvdplusrw.org > Ari wrote: >> .........Billie very kindly sent me some DVD-R's the >> other day, ntsc and pal,I put them in my multi-regional >> dvd player and it wouldn't read ANY of them, including >> the ntsc ones, yet it would read the ntsc ones I burned >> on MY computer. >> I placed the dvd's in my ntsc pioneer player and it >> plays them all,INCLUDING the PAL ones HUH!it's not >> SOLD as a multi-regional player, and yet...the picture >> on my 43" HDTV is crystal clear. >> what's going on?anyone have any clues? Thanks for the link and the info. Are you still involved with the site in any way? From my linux laptop running Mozilla 1.6, the site looks a little weird. The pull down menus at the top are sitting in the advertisement underneath the header. I know they checked it for Windows & MacOS so my guess is it's a Linux thing. But I don't do the scripting, just the design.
