He simply stood at the back of the stage, and hardly moved throughout the show, though his playing was excellent. Johansen and Syvain seemed genuinely pleased that he was together enough to play the gigs though - kept introducing him periodically throughout the set (to substantial cheers). Shame they couldn't have played the Art of Stopping video (which AFAIK has never been aired, though the MTV2 people have been sent a copy) - then at least the people in the video and the people being interviewed might have had matching hair! The 120mins Triptych coverage seemed to be of the one man and his handycam variety - invterviews with various performers/organisers/punters, plus videos, some of them relevant. No live footage. They just revamped their site, and updated a few of the reviews. Since we've been talking about it lately, I found this review of Send, and I thought I'd share: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:w8ge4j876wai~T00 Trouser Press has also updated their Wire biography entry: http://trouserpress.com/entry_90s.php?a=wire If you scroll to the bottom, there is a review of Send that is fairly positive as well. Unfortunately, Trouser Press didn't archive their original biography of Wire which was completely different from this one. I have all the Trouser Press guides, and I remember how shocked I was when I read this new "updated" version. I disagree quite strongly about the 80's material - I have all the EPs, natch! - but I guess it just proves that nobody ever agrees on all things Wire!
