Probably one of the best songwriters of the original Punk years. TV's only Scottish appearence on Saturday 29th May was a classic. Even the support acts were great and good to see William Mysterious again. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Jun 2004 19:01:28 +0200 From: Bart van Damme Subject: [idealcopy] B's B-day (yeah, thanks) The loot: Pixies (DVD) Nick Cave - The Videos (DVD) Guided by Voices - Watch Me Jumpstart (DVD) Nick Cave - Nocturama Air - Moon Safari PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks - Pig Lib (+ a live bonus cd) GEM - Tell Me What's New (Dutch, bit Strokes-like) Bart ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2004 13:35:27 EDT From: RLynn9@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] B's B-day (yeah, thanks) In a message dated 6/1/04 12:15:39 PM Central Daylight Time, bartvandamme@home.nl writes: > The loot: > > Pixies (DVD) > Nick Cave - The Videos (DVD) > Guided by Voices - Watch Me Jumpstart (DVD) > > Nick Cave - Nocturama > Air - Moon Safari > PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her > PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea > Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks - Pig Lib (+ a live bonus cd) > GEM - Tell Me What's New (Dutch, bit Strokes-like) > > Bart wow...what a crappy birthday..... ; ) RL ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Jun 2004 19:45:37 +0200 From: Bart van Damme Subject: Re: [idealcopy] B's B-day (yeah, thanks) > wow...what a crappy birthday..... ; ) > > RL You sir, are an electroidiot! ;-) Brrt ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2004 17:28:14 EDT From: RLynn9@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] B's B-day (yeah, thanks) In a message dated 6/1/04 12:47:24 PM Central Daylight Time, bartvandamme@home.nl writes: > You sir, are an electroidiot! ;-) > > Brrt thank you sir....maybe i should start a band just to use the name?...i can't believe you didn't recieve lots of smokeable plants for your b-day... They are truly the most revolting bunch of fluff, wuffy, hippy dippy fucking shite and I feel an utter traitor for going to their stupid fucking gig. Go and seem them if you like, and be amazed by how many musicians it takes to generate a really, really bland and directionless version of what Flaming Lips achieved (when they had their 'virtual drummer' on a video screen, with 3 musicians). I know Holland has that rep, but personally I haven't touched any weed/marihuana since artschool 20 years ago. Here it's mostly used by adolescents and/or old hippies (no offence Ari). I don't know any of my generation using it. Our government is currently discussing the fact whether or not new dutch weeds should be classify as harddrugs instead of softdrugs. It seems the amount of pscychedelic substances in dutch weeds has risen enormously over the last years.
