I really enjoyed 24 Hour Party People when I saw it at the theater here in Atlanta. I think that I enjoyed it most because of the novelty of a film that actually mentioned bands that I listen to, but I've grown to enjoy it all the more because of the way that the movie presents itself. The scene with the real Howard DeVoto is downright classic, as is Steve Coogan's line about a scene missing: "It'll probably be on the DVD." I do own the DVD and must say that the commentary with the actual Tony Wilson is equally, if not more, entertaining as the film itself. By the way... Thanks to all of you here who recommended the Einsturzende Neubauten live show. I was blown away by their performance here in Atlanta last week. Since it's probably their last time touring the U.S. (Bargeld's issues with Clear Channel, Ticketmaster, etc.), I'm glad that I was able to check 'em out. However, time continues to be very pressing of late, and updates have been rather infrequent. Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone out there would be interesting in helping out with the news pages. Surely even the most dedicated 'head-hater must appreciate that Jonny is a rather decent chap to have in a band. Certainly Radiohead's X-factor - their Bruce Gilbert, if you like.
