As if it stops the flow of oxygen to their brains. I don't think of it a mix btwn indie rock and laptop. It just is what it is. My favourite album of the last 3 yrs. At least. > So, basically the new Lali Puna record is a new Notwist record with female > vocals. What is even the point of Lali Puna anymore? They were fine without the > guitars! They may share a member, and there's a certain similarity in feel, but FTB is far from being a re-make of Neon Golden. It's poppier, frothier and beatier. And where's the fucking banjoes ; ) > Coming up next, Keith and I battle over which Electrelane album is better. Well I've bought some stuff I really really like of late. Stereolab's newie is my fave since ETK, Franz Ferdinand's debut is a really good pop album, and - to paraphrase Eng cricket capt Michael Vaughan's recent inane quote, the achievement Sparks achieved with Lil Beethoven is a great achievement! But as for Electrelane...their latest hasn't *really* grabbed me as yet. It's alright, but on early listens it doesn't match their first one as far as I'm concerned. Wanting to actually buy their records or see them again is something entirely different - perhaps some of the zany impact was lost on a bigger stage. We only heard a couple of Liars numbers - perhaps we should have given them more of a chance...
