The collection, entitled "50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong" (according to Sirendisc), will cover music from the band's (Mark E. Smith's) career. I became a new Fall fan last year and here are the albums that I own thus far: Live At The Witch Trials (new 2-CD reissue) Hex Enduction Hour Totally Wired: The Rough Trade Compilation This Nation's Saving Grace The Frenz Experiment The Real New Fall LP (Country On The Click) I'm not qualified yet to give a list of "essential Fall" material, but I have no complaints about the above albums. Not their best by a long way but difficult to ignore for that reason alone. I totally disagree with Dan about Dragnet and Hex Enduction Hour being bottom tier (as they both appear in the Top 5) but totally agree about The Frenz Experiment. Go figure. I'd happily go for that or The Classical. Or New Big Prinz, Athlete Cured, Telephone Thing.... I don't have it in front of me just now to give a tracklist, but I can provide the following quick info: It has two components 1. 7 'demos from 1976' which are 6 out of 10 quality with a bit of hiss. Identifiably Wire, perhaps even with George Gill (????). Very interesting. 2. Live at the Roxy- seems to be the complete set(??), but between song patter deleted. Tracks like "Too True" and "Mary Is A Dyke" etc are the same as Behind the Curtain" and 12XU and Lowdown we've all heard before, so there a few never released tracks on there (although Glad All Over is pretty crap!). All in all I'm happy I got this (although for a CD with homemade artwork it's a bit expensive). I don't currently have a CD burner so I can't do a knockoff copy yet, but I'm getting closer to that capability: keep in touch. I have very little Fall (Early Singles + TNSG), but can I put in votes for "I Am Damo Suzuki", "Rowche Rumble", and "Bingo-Master's Break-Out!" anyway?
