After a couple of years of seeing dozens of new bands who sound like the Go4 it was extraordinary to come across a band who appear to have no antecedents. Its anchored by drums and overlaid by the strange presence of Eleanor Friedberger, all fringe and concentration. Even when they get the guitars out they still sound sui generic.
