And Brain Donor ; ) (Actually BD's Like A Motherfucker is AWESOME!!) I didn't know Jehovahkill was so revered till I started checking out the Cope website. I liked it but it was never a particular fave I have to say - maybe time I dug it out again. Having a bit of a Cope spell actually - his latest album Rome Wasn't Burnt In A Day is the nearest thing we've had to a PROPER Cope album since Interpreter way back in '96 (i.e. it's got some songs on it!!) Particularly fond of a track called King Minos cos it's got something of a glam beat to it (imagine Jaz Coleman if he'd been in the Glitterband!) and the 20 min finale which has some of the wildest guitar playing I've heard in ages. Wailing gtr's aren't really my thing (and haven't been for more than half my life), but this (and LAMF) have had me appreciating the gtr solo for the first time in years... I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's ever liked him. To get back on-topic, the other most played track of late is the Wire / britney one we mentioned here months back. Still sounds FAB! Cope normally does? aside from _Fried_ (which an ex bought for me, and i really think she kept), the only other thing i have by him is an EP of _World Shut Your Mouth_ wherein Mr. Cope does the Pere Ubu classic "Non-Alignment Pact" (and does it fairly well too...) a very enjoyable list to sort through. thanks.
