But as a unit they are now as good as are out there. I've seen them half a dozen times and they've improved virtually every time. And they still seem to be enjoying it too. Extremely good and impressive. I thought the lead singer had a good voice not to mention the fact that she is cute. Heather (my wife) thought so too. I recall a record cover which had some sort of tirade against Billy Bragg for his "this guitar kills fascists" sticker. Never much liked the cut of their jib (funnily enough) or the noise that they made. I also a remember a bizarre case a few years back of a guy and two girls from England who committed suicide in the US - two of them by shooting themselves at a rifle range. They had far right connections, supposedly, and pretty heavy gun fixations. The guy's suicide note was published in the papers - and it was clear, even with my limited knowledge of DIJ - that it was essentially written to Douglas P. Don't think that anyone ever picked up on this. Changing the subject; there is a band in Brighton gigging quite heavily at the moment called She Said. I hoped this was Liv Elvander's[1] chance to get a word in edgeways, but she's not in the lineup, sadly. Howard [1] Graham's wife.
