I remember a Dutch interview serie made by Wim Kayzer called A Wonderfull Clash (Een Schitterend Ongeluk). Six Contemporary Scientists: Stephen Jay Gould, Oliver Sacks, Stephen Toulmin, Daniel C Dennett, Rupert Sheldrake and Freeman Dyson were trying to explain what they examine. And because of their so totally different approach Kayzer organized one last debate with all 6 together. The serie started with music from Dome. Don't know exactly which track anymore. Maybe you remember this Bart? We had a radio programm called Radio Spleen, with Ignit van Kasteren in the early 80's. Malka should remember this VPRO-programm. Minimal Compact were playing for them nearly each year. The programm started with Dome's Dasz . (btw they must have a beautiful box of sessions like ClockDVA, Zaou & Bikaye, Neubauten, Minimal Compact, Me&the Heat, Tuxedomoon, Chamberwell Now) And last year I saw a autocar or motor programm on the BBC 1 or 2. I couldn't believe, but there was music in it from Ocsid or Hox or HALO Lewis. Can anyone confirm this? "Lying in State" and "He Said Arrrgh" are FABULOUS ))) Too right Rob ! A consistently brilliant album, Graham's finest hour I reckon, ultra lo-fi an' all as it is (having been done on a 4-track), the production is an inextricable part of the tone and texture of the music. Music of a very particular time and place (London circa 1983). Raw. Urgent. I remember when I first heard 'He said Arrrgh' on the Touch cassette compilation (God be with the days of cassettes, eh ?), 'Meridians 1'... I was as shocked as I was thrilled by these sonic slabs, dished up rare... Had this stuff been done in a fuck off big studio, those qualities would've been lost (as seemed to happen on Dome IV). The unreleased material from each album will probably be released as bonus material along with the album releases. I hope. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the inclusion of the four instrumentals from the Lost Wishes cassette when the remaster of Wish is released.
