Also Damo Suzuki is playing in Wrexham in October... Really? Didn't know about that one. Will try and find out more. Shed Seven are playing, but I think I'll pass on that one. And that so-called Soundtrack to a Generation all-star act - Billy Duffy, Kirk Brandon, Glen Matlock and Mike Peters, though I suppose it might be a giggle. > Wrexham is the new Buckley, obviously ;-) They've started having acts on at the college hall - right next to the spiritual home of football ; ) - though as prevously reported when I saw the Buzzcocks there, the sound was atrocious. But there's a good little venue in the centre of town nowadays called Central Station, even if it doesn't have many acts I like. I've seen a few bands there though - The Damned, Gene, Electric Six, and the, er, LA Doors - and it's got a nice intimate feel to the place. I know who'd I'd like to see there! I could be wrong, but this looks like a work of Peter Pontiac, Holland's very own Rock'n Roll Robert Crumb... Funny how the pic has absolutely nothing to do with Wire, but for the fact that there are chairs missing (or is she supposed to be a Mannequin). Bart Check Pontiac: http://www.lambiek.net/pontiac1.htm He did some nice work for 16-Horsepower too: http://www.16horsepower.com/pontiac.html > I saw this item for sale at eBay, The World's Online Marketplace TM, and > thought that you guys might be interested in one of sven's earlier efforts. > > Title of item: Wire Paradiso concert-poster '78 > Seller: wobbler4 > Starts: 05-Sep-03 19:52:44 BST > Ends: 12-Sep-03 19:52:44 BST > Price: Starts at US $25.00 > To bid on the item, go > to: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3347239227 > > > Item Description: > This Dutch silk screen concert-poster was printed in 1978, it has hardly been > touched and is in mint condition. I've no problem with coil's music. But they talk, as John R put it so succinctly, bobbins.
