The highlight for me was The Adverts = original performance of Gary Gilmore's Eyes - it was fab! Slightly = different version to the record, with TV Smith putting in a really = strong show. He really did look the part (There's a really good = interview with TV on the that trakmarx site that AT Keith sent in with = the recent Colin interview - http://www.trakmarx.com/) Actually, it was a pretty good programme all round, because it also = featured the dulcet tones of Colin Verncombe & Black (Wonderful Life), a = hilarious performance from The Flying Lizards (the drummer was carrying = on as if he was in a cabaret band whilst the singer and bass player did = it totally deadpan. And was the pianist really hitting the keys with a = bog brush?), and for those of us not too snooty about these things, the = Stones doing a great live version of Miss You. Keef couldn't stand = still, Charlie couldn't stop grinning and Mick put in one of his great, = tongue-in-cheek Jagger performances. His pirouetting, intermingled with = some LOL running on the spot, was truly a sight to behold.
