The DTE Theater is an outdoor venue and the mosquitoes there can be a real bother. Just ask Ron Asheton: "Mosquito" (1995) Alternate Titles: Blood Fever, Nightswarm Genre: Horror, Sci-Fi Country: USA Punk Actors or Bands: Ron Asheton (The Stooges), Mike Hard (God Bullies) Other Actors: John Renaud, Josh Becker Director: Gary Jones Storyline / Comments: "Cheesed out movie about an RV park or national park or something that is terrorized by giant mosquitos. Scientists must battle the giant mosquitos to save the earth! Legendary Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton plays a lazy wiseguy park ranger who finds himself caught in a life or death struggle with the bloodsucking giant insects. I forget what role the God Bullies guy played. A really ridiculous movie that is easy to watch and has some nudity. Also demonstrates the subtle influence of Bergman and Truffut (joking). Hooray! Also on the acquisitions front I just bought a 2003 re-issue of 'Commercial Suicide'. ( One of the Crammed Global Soundcrash series out of Belgium). It includes the bonus tracks 'Interview' (the rather bizarre 12" single of Colin chatting over specially produced backing music ), and Disco Dub Interview Remix. I know there have been some idealcopyists chasing the original on ebay, and I haven't seen the re-issue mentioned here before. Cheers Phillip - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
