I would heartily recommend as they were > really awesome live - had the privilege to see them 3 times (one with > Colin as guest) in the 80's. It is not mentioned on the sleeve who is playing on each track, but the sleeve says Colin is doing guitar and keyboard pieces. I always thought Colin is doing that guitar piece at the end of this song. It sounds a little like his sound of those days. Should Raging Souls also be available on ceedee. For me it is the best album Minimal Compact had made. > > If Crammed are re-releasing DW, maybe they'd also do us a huge favour and > re-release It Seems & Commercial Suicide on CD? > The following interesting Crammed disques are planned to rerelease Colin Newman: Commercial Suicide (extra track added the Colin Newman alone in his Daylight Studio Bruxelles interview) Minimal Compact: Deadly Weapons a 12" Deadly Weapons // Autumn Leaves (you can hear already something on http://www.crammed.be/) Sonoko: La Debutante (produced by Colin Newman) Benjamin Lew: Compiled Electronic Landscapes (Can't imagine Malka is not on it, but I don't know) Has nothing to do with Colin, but Zazou & Bikaye's: Noir et Blanc ceedee is also planned to rerelease and it is a fantastic one. African electro at his best with Fred Frith on guitar. > I guess no-one on the list is gonna attend the Faust gig this Saturday in > berlin. If anyone is going and wants to meet e-mail me. I heard something that this will official be their last? But would be nice to be there if I had possibilities. Curious to know how this concert will be. Ian is right -- even if I approved the post with the attachment, our list software will not let an attachment go out. Ian, have you thought about posting the list on a webpage so you won't have to send out attachments to 200 people? I'm sure there are people here who would happily help you with this if you don't have the know-how/time to do so yourself, and I think this would be a timesaver. Good luck with your sale, and with the treatment! later, Miles ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2003 20:52:25 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Monochromatic=20Man?= Subject: [idealcopy] OT: Copying the protected I recently bought the new Annie Lennox and Camouflage cds. This can only mean one thing... a conspiracy between record companies & cdr-manufacturers! ;-) This manner of copy protection of course has no future. The only thing that could work is pushing the protection into the hardware. This could work slightly better. I read somewhere the entertainment industry is trying to turn your computer into an Internet entertainment console, where they, not you, have control over your hardware and software. Well, not in my lifetime!!! digitalkropotkin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2003 14:53:00 -0700 (PDT) From: Ari Britt Subject: Fwd: Re: [idealcopy] OT: Copying the protected Bart wrote This can only mean one thing... a conspiracy between record companies & cdr-manufacturers! ;-) This manner of copy protection of course has no future. Cutter, you know yourself that the best albums ever have a good range of different emotions on them. The complete listenening experience. All of the greatest were that way. Anyway......it be very cool if for my B-day you could be SO kind to pick up a couple of things for me! (sounds like I just arrogantly took a Bob-Bite!) Down at the Streetside by you are 2 things I really want but just can't make it down there to pick up: Faith Hill DVD(it's the newest one, that thing we saw on tv,with extra stuff) $9.99 Circle Jerks "IV" CD (it has a purple cover with a little punk/mosher in the lower right hand corner carving IV out of stone. It is on Relativity. I NEED that fucker bad!) 10-14 bucks I think. I would VERY much like to have this CD and the Faith DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Faith DVD was over to the right(where the dvd's are) and of course the Circle Jerks CD was listed under C or Circle Jerks may have had there own section. Take care.......I will keep my fingers crossed! b ps......If you can't find any of this stuff, I wouldn't mind having Metallica- Cliff Im All on DVD. By the way BIG SHOW RULES!!!!!!!!!!!! I also like ma boy Sean O'Haire!!!!!! YOU ARE THAT WHITE DUDE ON TEAM ANGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V6 #181 *******************************
