Aaargghh!!! >> Come on, Mark where's your sense of humour! It was funny. Especially the vid with the old bloke in the spacesuit listening patiently to his lady love's litany of woe. If you thought that was unacceptable, I'd love to hear your reaction to their follow up "What'll become of the children?". The title ought to be enough to have you writhing in agony. When I see a Rah Band greatest hits on ebay I will certainly buy it. Main man's name was/is Richard Hewison so your theory about the name is probably correct. I'm amazed that no enterprising dutch dance dj has revved up The Crunch for renewed consumption (to my knowledge). Noosha Fox's solo hit was called Georgina Bailey. It annoyed the hell out of me as a 12 year old - nearly as much as the Dooleys did - so God knows what it would do to me now. But the fact that 25 years later I can still hum the tune must say something, I guess. I'm sorry to say that I like Goldfrapp too - good in spite of the "nice at dinner parties" connatations. I'll get me sequinned jacket and daft pillbox hat. I probably neglected to thank everyone here for their suggestions on which albums from The Sound to purchase (I posted a few months ago inquiring as such). I now own From The Lion's Mouth and Jeopardy; both albums are superb and fit well with my fascination of The Chameleons, Echo And The Bunnymen, etc. etc. Word has it that the first five Echo And The Bunnymen albums are going to be reissued later this year. All this according to http://www.bunnymen.com. For now, though, I'm just enjoying the new Ian McCulloch album; it's quite good, although one of my friends thought that I was listening to a Neil Diamond record while I was playing it a week or so ago. Unrelated, but good stuff.....for those of you who live near Atlanta, Buzzcocks will be playing at the Cotton Club on July 16. It looks to be a fun show. I've heard a couple of tracks from the new album on college radio up here and like them a lot. X tickets are also onsale now for the show at the Masquerade on June 11. The original lineup of X (Exene, John Doe, Billy Zoom, D.J. Bonebrake) is touring again. This should, likewise, be a fun show. I'll be there with a couple of friends, so if any of you are interested in going, let me know so that we can meet up.
