Now I'm not someone who dislikes him... on the contrary, the man did so much for pop (I enjoyed the White Album just the other day), but... I'm just not that keen on these kinda big shows. The VPRO has allways been Hollands most progressive public broadcasting company (tv, radio & internet). They've been responsible for legendary tv- and radioshows and were amongst the first to fully explore the possibilities of broadcasting via the net. It's a bloody shame their audience is limited because of the language barrier. I've had a subscribtion to their tv-guide since (I moved out of my parental house in) 1980. http://www.vpro.nl/frontend/english/frame.html They're avantgarde in every way. The guide e.g. and even the open structured building in wich they recide is famous because of it's weird architecture: http://www.mvrdv.archined.nl/tour_2/index.php Bart ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Apr 2003 16:03:57 +0200 From: Bart van Damme Subject: Re: [idealcopy] [OT] Macca/C'mon and let me know... >> Should I stay or should I go...? I'm torn! But I think I am going. There're two friends going along so I'm sure we'll have fun no matter what. For all you football/soccer fans: The Gelredome in Arnhem is home to Vitesse. Glad you like it and funny you should mention Chairs Missing here, cos the VPRO was about the only Dutch broadcaster that really supported Wire through the years. Architects MVRDV (Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs & Nathalie de Vries) are indeed geniuses. They became quite famous with the Dutch pavillion in Hannover (Germany) for the world exhibition in 2000: http://www.mvrdv.archined.nl/expo2000/index.php They seem to design buildings with a similar intelligent, associative and slanted approach as Wire makes music... or am I trying too hard with making this mail ON topic again? ;-) http://www.architectuur.org/mvrdv02.php http://www.mvrdv.archined.nl Bart ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Apr 2003 20:22:51 +0100 From: "Andrew Lumbard" Subject: RE: [idealcopy] Another the Roll Call Right.
