Though it might be. Everything so far with this version of Wire has been very natural and unforced, the group seeing where playing together again would take them, physically as well as artistically, so my guess is if there's U.S. demand -- bookers and venues saying "come/come back!" -- they'd respond. Rather than pester the group, I'd pester any local promoters who'd be willing to stage a Wire show. later, Miles ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Mar 2003 21:00:36 -0000 From: "Keith Knight" Subject: RE: [idealcopy] On Returning - -----Original Message----- ? Just thought of another good one - Christopher Evans' 'The Insider'. A story of an alien taking over a body killed in the blitz and then living in the body for decades to the point when it no longer knows what it was like to be alien. What's impressive is that there's always some doubt that the alien is an alien as it could be interpreted as a story of a man who's lost his marbles. At first I wondered if it was a sound I had produced in my own sound experiments, but then it struck me what it sounded like. Last semester I took a Physical Anthropology class, and we had to do observations at the local zoo. The sound on MZUI sounded exactly like the calls of the gibbons. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
