Secondly, on a day trip to Manchester earlier this week I called into Vinyl Exchange, wherein lay secondhand copies of both Hox - Itness, and Ocsid - In Between at bargain basement prices (about four quid each). I have a vague feeling that they might have been mentioned here already by one of our Manchester pals. But what a find, if you didn't already have them, (which I do). I dream of a similar "It Seems" experience. Finally, flicking through the Wire mag on my late return home on Wednesday, looking for the Colin Newman section, I stopped at the wrong point, mistaking a be-hatted Gary Lucas of the Magic Band for Mr Newman. Was also disappointed by the sloppiness displayed in the review of Send - albeit a favourable piece - which a previous poster (sorry - deleted all mails now) referred to ("Mr Max Table" not once, but twice, and "You Can't Leave Us" - he must have phoned the review in).
