Probably not so much in North Dakota.) Well, I should be packing and getting ready to drive off at sunrise tomorrow, but instead, I'm eating microwave popcorn, writing emails, and watching a thunderstorm roll in. Given a few more minutes, I'll probably switch on Oprah and order a pizza! Travels have been great, but I'm happy to NOT be flying tomorrow. I just need to go pick up some good books-on-tape (recommendations?) and toss everything else into the back of the car. There's a new (and short) RoadNotes posted on my website. (www.christinekane.com) And there are a bunch of new shows on my schedule. (See below.) I'll be doing a few more festivals this summer, including Bele Chere (Asheville, NC), Rocky Mountain Folks, (Lyons, CO) and Sisters Folk Festival (Sisters, OR). I'll also be teaching at a few workshops and song schools. Then, hopefully, I'll be recording again this fall. I hope you to see you at one of the shows. Feel free to send friends who live in any of the towns and cities below, too. One final note: Things are crazy in the world these days. (When I was up in DC in February, people were being told to duct-tape plastic wrap around the outside of their houses in preparation for the Code Red Chemical Attack.) My favorite teaching from the Course in Miracles is that you can act from a place of fear or from a place of love. Our media seems to be all about the fear. And we're being bombarded. My point is this: try to remember how important your spirit is, and take some time today for silence and for gratitude and for remembering why you're here at all. And should you find that you no longer wish to be on this list, please reply to this email with a "Remove, Please" email and Rachel will happily remove your name! Thanks for being a great big huge wonderful part of my work in the world Christine ************************************************************************ 3/14/03 Columbus, OH Shedd Theater w/Richard Shindell 614.470.FOLK 3/15/03 Morgantown, WV House Concert 304.296.4074 3/20/03 Decatur, GA Eddie's Attic w/Mark Erelli 404.377.4976 www.eddiesattic.com 3/28/03 Cary,NC Six String Cafi 919.469.3667 www.sixstringcafe.com 3/29/03 York, SC Sylvia Theater 803.684.5590 www.sylviatheater.com 4/3/03 Ft.Atkinson, WI Cafi Carpe 920.563.9391 www.cafecarpe.com 4/4/03 La Crosse, WI The Pump House 608.785.1434 www.thepumphouse.org 4/5/03 Steven's Point, WI Clark Place 715.343.1530 4/10/03 Aurora, NE Espressions 402.694.3214 www.espressionscoffee.com 4/11/03 McCook, NE The Bieroc Cafe 308.345.6500 4/12/03 Omaha, NE Common Grounds Coffeehouse 402.551.0200 4/13/03 Omaha, NE Benson Presbyterian Church 402.551.0200 4/24/03 Chattanooga, TN Rhythm & Brews w/Chris Rosser 423.267.4644 www.rhythm-brews.com4/30/03 Emeryville, CA Strings w/Steve Seksin 510.653.5700 www.strings.org 5/2/03 Berkeley, CA The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse w/Steve Seksin 510.548.7603 www.thefreight.org 5/3/03 Winters, CA The Palms Playhouse w/Steve Seksin 530.795.1825 www.palmsplayhouse.com 5/4/03 Richmond, CA House Concert w/Steve Seksin 5/5/03 San Jose, CA Espresso Garden & Cafi w/Steve Seksin 408.298.0808 www.espresso-gardencafe.com 5/6/03 Ben Lomond, CA Henflings Tavern w/Steve Seksin www.henflings.com 5/17/03 Acworth, GA Fishback House Concert 770.975.9609 5/30/03 Asheville, NC Grey Eagle 828.232.5800 www.greyeagle! music.com 6/4/03 Greenville, SC Coffee Underground 864.848.0680 7/5/03 Durham, NC Festival for the ENO 919.477.4549 www.enoriver.org 7/19/03 Vienna, VA Jammin Java 703.255.1566 www.jamminjava.com7/24/03 Decatur, GA Eddie's Attic 404.377.4976 www.eddiesattic.com7/26/03 Asheville, NC Bele Chere www.belechere.com7/27/03-8/2/03 Swannanoa, NC The Swannanoa Gathering www.swangathering.com 8/11-15/03 Lyons, CO The Song School www.planetbluegrass.com 8/16/03 Lyons, CO Rocky Mountain Folks Festival www.planetbluegrass.com8/29/03 Winston-Salem, NC Fiddle & Bow 336.727.1038 www.fiddleandbow.org9/2-6/03 Sisters, OR Sisters Folk Festival &Americana Song Academy 541.408.0200 www.sistersfolkfestival.com 9/14/03 Pembroke Pines, FL Heart's Desire House Concert 954.433.2372 www.heartsdesirehouseconcerts.com9/16/03 Sarasota, FL New College (stay tuned for contact info!)9/18/03 Jacksonville, FL European Street Grille 904.399.1740 www.hackingcat.com9/19/03 Tampa, FL Craig Huegel House Concert 727.943.92169/20/03 Homestead, FL Main Street Cafi 304.245.7575 www.mainstreetcafe.net 10/10/03 Dallas, TX Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse 212.363.0044 10/11/03 San Antonio, TX Urban Campfires www.urbancampfires.com 10/17/03 Auburn, AL Sundilla 334.251.1272 www.sundilla.org11/7/03 Lake Dallas, TX Town and Country Coffeehouse 940.321.6100 11/8/03 Austin, TX Live Oak Coffeehouse w/David LaMotte 512.219.9008 - -- Christine Kane P.O.
