Michael Flaherty >> i know what you mean about the ebay bidding wars...i like a lot of releases from Pete Namlook's ambient label: FAX ....but the problem is that certain discs were/are released in limited editions of 500 and 1,000 ...so if you didn't get some of the early ones (1993-1997) when they were initially released, you'll probably miss out...you won't see them for under $100.00 .....sheer madness.... I think this is the second recommendation Calla have received on this list in the past couple of weeks or so. I've also seen some very good press for Televise (Sunday Times, Metro - free newspaper that they have on the bus). My first play was under inauspicious circumstances, but I've played it in a bit now and can add to the approval rating. Storming opening track ('Strangler'), which I think sets a standard that's difficult to maintain for the length of the album, but I'll not rush to my own final judgment. Worth catching live if the chance occurs Jason? It is an hour long documentary called, unimaginatively, 'the Brian Eno story'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/ Will give it a listen after I have recorded the Wire & Low sessions before they disappear ps. As Keith say, Phil Spector has been arrested for murder.
