Finn did very little after leaving T.Rex - played bongoes on Forbidden Fruit by the Blow Monkeys (and appeared live with them) and that was pretty much it as far as I know until the High Fidelity roped him on one track on their album a few yrs back. And then, would you believe, he formed Mickey's Finn T.Rex with ex-drummer Paul Fenton and played the hits, though I would have thought that T.Rex without Bolan was rather like Bob Dylan without Bob Dylan. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 16:51:56 -0800 (PST) From: Ari Britt Subject: Fwd: Re: [idealcopy] T Rex star Mickey Finn dies aged 55 Keith Astbury wrote: From: "Keith Astbury" To: "dan bailey" , "ideal copy" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] T Rex star Mickey Finn dies aged 55 Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2003 21:48:33 -0000 > very sorry to hear it, though i must shamefacedly admit that i thought he'd > turned up dead from drugs or drink years & years ago. perhaps i'm thinking > of steve "peregrine" took? perhaps i'm losing my mind? > > dan Yeah, that was Took - died in 1980 I think.
