There's also a discussion group, if anyone cares to join, at http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=1628642 The web site contains very little at the moment - a bit of info, and a discography. Keith is busy with our major web site for The Residents ( http://www.theresidents.co.uk/ ) at the moment, so is only able to devote a small amount of time to the Passage site. We are looking for contributions from other Passage fans (text, pictures, info etc - if anyone here can help, please join the SmartGroups discussion group). We are currently "helping" LTM with text copy for the releases of the 4 Passage albums. The first should be out in March. This is what Steve actually wrote in the boxset booklet. "I like a box set, me. When I think of a box set, I think of xmas, like dates and chestnuts roasting on an open fire. I know this year I will buy a box set by some obscure artist and never play it. And read interviews with members of the band and their roadies and it will fill me with cheer". Fair enough really. As a season ticket holder at Elland Road, I've subsequently realised that Wire are performing on the same day as Leeds take on Blackburn in the penultimate home game of the season. With luck, this'll get moved to Sunday for TV, but failing that, my questions are how much time would I need to get from King's Cross tube to my seat in the Barbican and, given that the time stated on the ticket is 8pm, do we know if this is 'doors' or performance? Any speculation or advice would be appreciated. If the lines ARE working it's only two stops on the tube from KC to Barbican but then a bit of a hike to get into the venue itself (and that assumes you won't get lost - you need to follow the yellow line through the housing development). I'd say 25 - 30 minutes from train to seat. If the tube isn't working then there should be a bus laid on but this could take 15 to 20 minutes longer at best. It's no good walking across to Thameslink as it only goes to Barbican on weekdays. Perhaps a cab if you can afford it? The Barbican, being a properly run seated venue used to having classical music audiences, will be prompt - it will start only five minutes late at best probably. There could be a choice to be made - a once in a lifetime performance or a mid-table meeting of two underachieving teams! I'll see if I can get more info on the St Pancras works. another the Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: Ian B To: ideal copy Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 7:36 PM Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Barbican Logistics Query > The reflex action which instigated the purchase of ticket for Flag:Burning > meant the overlooking of one important (for me) factor - i.e. the football > fixtures. > As a season ticket holder at Elland Road, I've subsequently realised that > Wire are performing on the same day as Leeds take on Blackburn in the > penultimate home game of the season. > With luck, this'll get moved to Sunday for TV, but failing that, my > questions are how much time would I need to get from King's Cross tube to my > seat in the Barbican and, given that the time stated on the ticket is 8pm, > do we know if this is 'doors' or performance? > Any speculation or advice would be appreciated. > Ian B ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Jan 2003 20:58:25 -0000 From: "Keith Knight" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Barbican Logistics Query No sooner sent than Google delivers the info on the tube's availability for flag:burning.
