In fact the only R Fripp album I own is League of Gentlemen, which is very much along those lines, but without the prog bombast. Still can't see what all the fuss is about over King Crimson though. Just sounds like prog. At worst, prog-jazz. For those that aren't aware this was played as part of a feature whereby a track is suggested by listeners, and played, that reflects one of three off-the-wall news stories of the day. I can't for the life of me remember what this was about, but, on the same day, there was a story about a cub scout that turned up at a swimming tournament to find he was the only one from his pack there. He proceeded to enter all the events and ended up winning the team trophy. Curiously Our Swimmer was suggested for this story. On Friday a story about a husband with an extraordinary collection of showroom dummies not only brought the obvious Kraftwerk suggestion, but also Mannequin. Is the mystery list(en)er amongst us? This project is/was called Oysterhead. Their CD was called "The Grand Pecking Order" It's actually not too bad for a hastily assembled supergroup. Nobody really overplayed on the material - which may be why some critics savaged it. For a pretty balanced review, check here: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=Awhja7i63g74r Namely -"but unlike many albums by previous supergroups, The Grand Pecking Order never becomes a joyless, ego-driven wank-fest."
