That Classic Albums programme was surprisingly good. I watched it thinking I had nothing to learn but it was pleasingly erudite. My favourite moment was the Bollocks sound engineer showing how the mix worked. Apparently Sid was unrecordable so Jones played the basslines, effectively copying his guitar part. The engineer was full or praise for Jones which rather put him up in my estimation. 1977 seems like a long time ago.
