In addition, one may also find it at Barnes and Noble.com ( http://www.bn.com ) with complete samplings of their tracks. If so curious, you may also investigate the works of Mrs Miller, Wesley Willis, and the Shaggs as long as your are there. Also, "Better than the Beatles: A tribute to the Shaggs" may be an optimum 1st pick regarding the Shaggs. Here's foot-foot by the Shaggs: http://www.shaggs.com however, I prefer the tribute over this because it's technically modernized. Wesley Willis & Tourette syndrome? Something's definately wrong over there at the rock & roll McDonalds! And the love of my life ... Mrs Miller!! After you hear her samples and research her bio, you too may always keep her CD within arm's length for the perfect 'pick me up'!! LOL!! I'm looking forward to hearing it, after reading rave reviews from other Wire fans about it. Although I've been a Wire fan for a while now, I haven't taken it upon myself to check out the side projects of the band members. What are some other recommendations for projects from Colin Newman, Graham Lewis, Bruce Gilbert, and Gotobed? Thanks. Last night, I saw The Chameleons UK at Echo Lounge; the same venue where Wire played a week ago. It was an astoundingly good show; just a notch below Wire's spectacular performance. I don't know how many Chameleons fans are here on this board, but I recommend seeing them if they tour in your area. It's been a great week for me seeing both Wire and The Chameleons UK, as they both played Atlanta for the first time. Two bands that I never expected to see live and their shows were both phenomenal. Thanks. colin's a-z is downright excellent ... his 2 early '80s follow-ups, singing fish & not to, are a notch below, but still pretty good. haven't really listened to his late-'80s output or anything the others have done, though i own a few discs/records/tapes. picked up a used he said: omala just yesterday, in fact. > >Last night, I saw The Chameleons UK at Echo Lounge; the same venue where >Wire played a week ago. Colin, probably Not To. A-Z is right there, but am more familiar with Not To. Bruce, would definitely be This Way to the Shivering Man. Epitaph, Angelfood, Here Visit and Hommage my favorites there. I do like Dome very very much and it gets the most playtime on my computer and in my car. Dome is my favorite Lewis Gilbert collaboration. Never got into Dome Yclept though. Never heard Hox, it is on the list of things to get. Honorable mentions are AC Marias, Colin's Commercial Suicide, He Said Omala Catch Supposes, and Duet Emmo. the grey light slides... paulye154 _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Sep 2002 23:33:23 +0100 From: "Keith Astbury" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] re: side projects > I would say my favorite side projects are...snip... > Colin, probably Not To. And it includes, of course, one of the funniest cover versions EVER!
