I really really love 154, but I love Wire's ability to experiment and lack of settlement even more. Wire#2 to me again ended with an equally brave statement: Wir! Now it may not be my fave album [and neither is Manscape - though still better than lots of contemporary stuff] but you cannot say it was lacking in adventure. Come to think of it I was never really disappointed with any of Wire's outlets... just not too keen on some 80's Lewis and Newman solo work [productionwise]. At first I thought R&B01 might be a bit on the retro side, but I soon "got" the idea. Shivers! I think they WILL keep it up!
