There's superstars for ya... I'm quite pleased actually to see Bowie paying such tribute to Frank Black. If the tracks turn out good it's great, if not it's still a great gesture. I liked the Pixies version way better, but that is besides the point. found on i'net: Worst Album By Your Favorite Band: Bowie -- yeah, Never Let Me Down is up there, but I'm thinking both Tin Machine efforts take the cake ultimately -- no wait, the live album! They didn't even include the best song by default, namely the cover of "Debaser." I'll chime in on that and say that while I agree that R&B acknowledges '70's Wire more than IBTABA, say. But I don't think most of the songs would fit Pink Flag at all. 'Agfers..' in particular sounds more like an updated 'Chairs Missing'. Even that falls short though. To me, R&B sounds *new* and the only complaint I would have is the brevity of it. I am still in awe of "I Don't Understand"! Cranked up high it's like the musical equivalent of a freight train plowing through my house! > Blur=Total Shite Hee hee! I have to say I've never heard Blur's music, but this thread actually piqued my curiosity about them.
