Have your lot not moved on from Kurt Cobain yet? Ours wear Korn hooded tops. Mind you, you should visit Rhyl in North Wales - the shell suit, bumfluff moustaches and pudding bowl hair cuts are still the height of fashion there. I'm sure I entirely agree with that Tim. That's more in the style, IMHO - especially track 2. I like it as a creation of Wir & Erasure. I guess those looking for something along the lines of the Wire that's creating harder sounds like Germ Ship would be pretty disappointed. The other thing that really impresses me is how far removed the track is from the source material - you gotta admit it's a pretty radical re-working of the original tune. Listening to the two cds back to back I noticed all of the songs had such very different mixes, as if it wasn't the same song over and over. BTW, I got both on ebay for $5.50 with shipping. It included a song from a band called degrassi. Very much reminded me of Flying Nun label stuff. There's a free sampler of their label going round although I'm not overly impressed by much of the stuff on it. Some listers might - there's a lot of quirky electronic stuff on there. Have a look at the website http://www.slrecords.net/ Just thought it worth posting to the list as I can't remember the last time I heard a new band that leapt out of the radio or TV at me and I thought 'Oh I like that.' Not since the first time I heard The Clean, The Bats et al anyhow.
