While the ones listed as not using arab-based oil sound good, I do know that Conoco in particular is noted for causing an immense ammount of damage/deforestation and displacement of indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest. I recall reading that Phillips/BP is doing the same and they are far from alone. Then again, you according to South Park, maybe that is a good thing! Of course, sorting out the REAL facts is pretty tricky, as most of these companies will deliberately hide what they are really doing (i.e. importing their Iraqi oil via Venezuela). And the Department of Energy is probably the last place where you will find out what is really going on! I would finish by saying that a great step toward stopping us paying for terrrorist actions is for each of us (in the US, that is) to strive to get our car driving down to (50-100) miles/week. I guess, when you have an album project assigned, you get a number, and whenever you finish it, it comes out with that old number. the next lobe album could be wm23.... ~michael ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Apr 2002 02:58:36 EDT From: Rain19c@aol.com Subject: [idealcopy] the "Pink-Flag-in-a-Jar" Did anyone actually buy this? a very odd item indeed... ~michael ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Apr 2002 00:06:27 -0700 (PDT) From: Andrew Westmeyer Subject: Re: [idealcopy] PF3, anyone? Yes, I bought one at the RFH show. As Wire themselves once remarked "Supremely tacky". (^_-) Cheers, Paul P.S. And, no the T-shirt nor the Pink Flag in a Jar are PF3. You can check posteverything.com if you want to find the numbers.
