David was a guest on the Graham Norton show last night (a bit of a comedown from Liza Minneli who was on a couple of weeks back). He was quite a good sport actually, even when Norton pulled out some 'Knight Rider' bedsheets. He also made it quite clear that his music was written specifically for a German audience, and pointed out the sort of Bierkeller, 'Oompah' feel to the song 'Freedom' (the one they sang at the fall of the Berlin Wall...led by David wearing a suit with flashing lights on it). Rhythms can be culturally specific I suppose. By the same token, I hear that UK Garage* star, Craig David has been confusing the hell out of the Americans by bringing over his 'Two-Step' music which apparently means something entirely different in the UK to what it means in the US (cue lots of very confused American C&W fans!).
