Publication date is provisionally late 2003 or early 2004. Sid and I have been working independently towards and Eno biog and having e-mailed and met to discuss this it was felt best to pool our resources, knowledge and enthusiasm together. A meeting with Brian Eno confirmed we had made the right decision and although Brian is not 'officially' involved he has opened his archive and will be interviewed. Nope. If I could get a soundfile to play "Morrisey Rides a Cockhorse" every time someone mentions them or "Moz," I'd happier than a mere "Prince of Happiness." :b _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 01 Mar 2002 11:03:04 +0000 From: Howard Spencer Subject: [idealcopy] Re: positive noise/embarrassing records someone said Positive Noise - I don't really remember their stuff but on a similar note, whatever happened to leisure process, which was Ross Middleton's attempt to `do a Heaven 17' (i.e. turn into a limited company and try to kiss capitalism to death). Love cascade was their massive single that never happened. I thought it was great - only have it on fast decaying ferric NME cassette. Embarassing records - prob my worst is the LP `Floral Dance' by the Brighouse and Rastrick brass band, which I got for my 12th birthday. At the height of punk. Then there is my fine collection of dodgy CD singles, which includes `Book of days' by Enya and `Barbie Doll' by Aqua. Oh, and the Crystal Palace FC version of `Glad all over/ Where Eagles Fly'. Je ne regrette rien! Howard ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 1 Mar 2002 13:39:24 +0000 From: Andrew Walkingshaw Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Re: liking wire and "?" Re: misc. PIL I've not heard much of; the Smiths and Joy Division, yes, count me in. Possibly one of Can, Neu!, or Kraftwerk? ICers~ I'm currently making the transition from high tech to the world of concert promoter! Under the moniker of 3R Productions! I'm currently working on my first show. It's the Tony Levin Band, April 16th at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz, I hope to see any interested Copyists in the central CA area! His newest album is really cool! A bit of a return to form after 'Waters of Eden', which was more of a Weather Report-ish, fretless bass exploration. > (and it is also on the Enoweb site and DGM website) There are details on the DGM site or at: www.riotheatre.com www.tonylevin.com > that I will be collaborating with Sid Smith (of King > Crimson book fame) on a biography of Brian Eno to be > called 'Back To Minus' commissioned by Helter > Skelter That sounds great!I had always thought that Eno would be a good subject for a well written biography!
