Complaining about bad language in hiphop, a la dear old Mary Whitehouse (US listers - think Tipper Gore without the big hair) is not going to get you far. The line about Westwood's commercial exploitation of his position is the one to push. I wrote to the BBC a few years back to complain about Richard Littlejohn making mockery on radio 5 of Eurosport's football coverage (he writes for the Sun, an arm of the Murdoch Sky empire). I was told that he got a bollocking and hope that this did indeed happen (though I doubt it). This sort of cross-media plugging (or dissing) should not be got away with. Littledick must surely be the most odious broadcaster in Britain (US: think Howard Stern, force fed on lardy cake for 3 months and given whining cockney accent). Mark Bursa said: >Run 2 (the single version) was hastily withdrawn as a result, which >makes it quite rare - wrth having for the fantastic Peter Saville "washing >powder" sleeve! I thought that one was always a limited edition - certainly didn't hang around the shops long. We talked about this once before - the similarity with leaving on a jet plane stays beyond me. I think the album version of this, with the soaring string crescendo and mandolin sound, is superior. I like to imagine myself listening to it being done 'live' on Cheggars plays pop, aged 11, waving my silk scarf from side to side. Please contact me directly as I didn't want to s*bscribe to the list.. Document & Eyewitness Box Set (Mute 80CDX): Contains the Document & Eyewitness CD (Wire 80CD) along with the Kidney Bingos CD Single (Mute 67) and the In Vivo CD single (Mute 98). The CD singles are both 3" singles in slimline cases with plastic adaptors that allow them to be played in standard CD players. The adaptor that is packaged with the Kidney Bingos single is printed with "Kidney Bingos: Wire" around the adaptor. Everything is in a unique black heavy cardstock box with a sticker with the cover of "Document & Eyewitness". This item is mint, it looks like it has never been played. I was going to list it on ebay but wasn't sure what kind of interest there is for it. Certainly if anyone wants to make an offer I will entertain anything reasonable. A friend gave this to me to sell so obviously I want to get a fair price, but I really don't know how rare it is or what to charge for it. Even if no one is interested in buying/trading for it, if you know how many of these were released and what the going rate is please let me know. Any info is appreciated. I'm not a crass profiteer, I would really like to make this available at a fair price to anyone who wants it. You can check my feedback if you like on ebay, my username is frigidpony.
