There's a comp which cuts out the non essential. But get yourself a copy of Raw Power. One of my favourite all time albums ever. There are some prog-type chord progressions and such, but he tends ot write 2-3 minute pop songs for the most part. The Bears albums have song writing and singing credits spread pretty evenly through the band. I think the 'Sugar' connection was songs like "When She Moves" and "What's the Good of Knowing" that remind me of Sugar when David Barbe was singing. Great riff, mindblowing sax, iggy bellowing instructions to the band over the top like some crazed white james brown. i can't tell you how much i love it. god. it feels good to enthuse sometimes! > But get yourself a copy of Raw Power. One of my > favourite all time albums ever. > one of mine too, even if i do prefer 'funhouse' as above. 'shake appeal'. 'penetration'. 'i need somebody'. classics all. incidentally, did you like the remixed version from a few years ago? gave it a bit more 'ooomph'. keith. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Feb 2002 01:08:02 -0000 From: "Keith Astbury" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] wizzard brew Subject: Re: [idealcopy] wizzard brew > lord, oh lord, what HAVE i started here????? > > blimey... > > anyway, the only possible solution now is to buy the bloody thing and let > Keith, Stephen and all other interested parties know what I make of it, > innit?...sweet jesus... ;) > > ian.s.j. > come on then ian. did you buy it or not ? the wire world still awaits your verdict !!! keith _________________________________________________________________ > Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Feb 2002 12:05:10 -0600 From: "dan bailey" Subject: Re: [idealcopy] DRUQS i never enjoyed smoking either, >tried one cigarette which seemed a ridiculous thing to do so never did it >again (no offense to those of you who enjoy it or who are sadly addicted to >it. i have friends and relatives who've had a very difficult time giving it >up or don't want to). i smoked for a week or 2 back during some really trying times circa 11/00 ... i have to say that kicking the habit was quite easy, really.
