back in little rock has (or did when last i was there)
the first 3 lp's, looking to be in perfect shape, on the
shelves for maybe $3 each. one can only *hope* they were
ditched by someone replacing them with the cd
reissues ...

which also reminds me of the entertainment editor for my
former paper, who a couple of years ago mis-reviewed the
album "magazine" by the band jump little children as
being the album "jump little children" by the *band*
magazine (or rather *a* band magazine ... i doubt he'd
know howard devoto from karla devito, or whatever her
name is). *sigh* at that point, of course, i had no
choice but to move on.

whereas i definitely own the raincoats, go-b's & fatima mansions ... 
possibly the abc, chic & orange
juice as well (my vinyl is still in a roomful of boxes).

if i had to add what i consider an overlooked gem to that list, it'd be 
alternative
tv's strange kicks from '81 or thereabouts -- great pop, & completely 
different
from, say, the image has cracked. i've also become very fond of wall of 
voodoo's
final (& 2nd post-stan-ridgway) studio lp, happy planet.
