A friend of mine has downloaded a concert recording from the internet (no, not Wire), and he said I could have a copy on video. Great - but he doesn't quite know how to do it. He's needs to convert the RealMovie file into a MPEG file first, and this is the bit he's stuck on. Is there any software that can do this (preferably free)? He says he has no problems putting MPEG files onto video. Anyone out there have any info I could pass on? rezMole ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Nov 2001 11:44:01 +0000 From: Howard Spencer Subject: [idealcopy] Re:shots/He said >... a shitty commuter town called >Aldershot, about an hour by train from London. Only about 200 people there >(the venue was the local 1970s-built theatre, which is more like a small >sports hall with a stage. Dave Lee Travis starred in pantomime there in >1976). Not a rock'n'roll town, Aldershot. Aldershot, Aldershot, laced-up boots and Aldershot, as they used to sing on the east bank terrace. I was born (in 1966) and raised just down the road in Farnham, so saw a fair few gigs in the West End Centre in Aldershot - Pogues, Billy Bragg, Ivor Cutler, Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, 14 Iced Bears. Aldershot may not be rock n' roll, but compared to Farnham it is kicking. Formerly known as the home of the British Army, they've more or less gone now and the place looks more depressed (and depressing) than ever. The football team, whose results I still keep half an eye on, hit the headlines a couple of months back when a disgruntled former player, now with Harrow Borough, kicked the `shots manager in the balls at the end of a game, leaving him, according to the club website `prostate' on the pitch. To follow another ancient, but on-topic thread (sorry, I'm a digest reader) I actually do like He Said Take Care - bought it around 93 and it lasted me nicely through the fallow period between the end of Wir and discovering this list. All the sung tracks are about a minute and half too long though, and subsequent Lewis releases (HOX, HALO) do put it in the shade. What I would suggest is burning a CD with the .rm file and using RealPlayer to watch the video. I have RealProducer, which is the official Real software that you use to create RealVideo files, and it will not reverse process files to other video formats. Good Luck! Here's the comment. And, it does have something to do with each of these quotes, believe it or not. Kelley's comment was as follows: S P O I L E R S P A C E (just in case you're easily offended...) (^_^) Kelley had mentioned at the beginning of the show that she and Kim were rooming together. It then became the running joke of the show. You know, "look what I have to put up with every night", etc. Finally, at one point, Kelley grabs the mic and says something to the effect that: "I know it's wrong and everything, but could someone please give a jointto Kim, because she's on her period, and she's driving me crazy!" Kim gave her a slanting sideways look, and started laughing. Cheers, Paul *********************************************************** Brain: "Pinky, Are You Pondering What I'm Pondering?"
