Brian Wilson lives in the Fox >Valley (St Charles?), so he is 11/2 - 2 hours from the fairgrounds. I would be very surprised if Brian puts in an appearance given the lawsuits flying around. The only original Beach 'Boy' on this tour is Mike Love in a Hawaiian shirt, chasing bikini clad women around stage like a geriatric Benny Hill on steroids. Defies the Trades Descriptions Act if you ask me. To call this 'the Beach Boys' would be like 'Wire' playing as just Colin Newman dressed in Bondage pants with a mohican and safety pins through his nose pogoing around singing I am the Fly and a medley of Anarchy in the UK/London Calling and 12XU. (Actually that would be pretty cool in comparison) I'm a huge Beach Boys fan but I wouldn't cross the road to see this senile nostalgia-fest. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Sep 2001 09:37:29 EDT From: RLynn9@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] this weekend i have been mostly listening to: In a message dated 9/3/01 2:07:35 AM Central Daylight Time, wmouk@yahoo.com writes: > and watching England thrash Germany! > > > uh...what was the final score ??? i didn't get to see it (i live in the USA) Thanks, Robert ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Sep 2001 14:23:14 -0500 (CDT) From: voyteck@webtv.net Subject: [idealcopy] OT: MSNBC Tonight on MSNBC (9 EDT / 8 CDT), an hourlong overview of the Burningman festival; tune in your cable / satellite receiver for this recommendation worth checking out. Did not make Beachboys show, so no comments/review other than where they played is far from big city expectations, even if it might have been stand-ins performing, the retro probably was appreciated.
