I tracked the place down in the hope that they served amusing themed food and drinks that I could report back on. Unfortunately the place was closed - not due to re-open until 24th of this month (4 days before DM play in Tallinn). I caught a bit of a channel in my hotel room called Viva, which seems a kind of okay MTV (Sigur Ros video at 11am), which showed a fair bit of a live set by Mouse on Mars, who I know little about but who impressed me for a couple of fairly long tracks. Then they brought on a brass section, which didn't work quite as well for me. One of the most popular band in Tallinn at the moment (or so it would seem from TV ads, music in shops and bars etc), is (ahem) Smokie. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2001 17:08:04 EDT From: CHRISWIRE@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] my poor dog.... Matthieu Hartley played keyboards on 17 secs and after he left Fat Bob did them. Lol played the two chords on 100 years live but in the later incarnations there was always another keyboard player, leaving Lol to do the odd bit in between drinks. Poor sod tried to sue after being thrown out - Bob Smith was always a generous employer and cut all members in on the royalties even though he wrote and arranged everything.
