Whilst searching for music to iron clothes by yesterday I found one such anonymous tape, popped it into the player, and got; Legendary Pink Dots - Premonition 5 Nurse With Wound - Strange Play of the Mouth Section 25 - In the Garden of Eden (I think) Cabaret Voltaire - Nag Nag Nag Killing Joke - Fall of Because/Unspeakable/Requiem SPK - Wars of Islam Kraftwerk - Antenna Residents - Six Things to a Cycle Got rid of the drudgery of housework - fast. Sorry Robert Lynn - had I checked my email after posting yesterday I might have arranged my viewing in the evening to tape the prog featuring Coil. As it was I taped something else. They were only featured for a few minutes, and there was very little music. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 06 Aug 2001 23:55:50 +0100 From: "ian jackson" Subject: [idealcopy] wireviews/posteverything thought i'd let you all know that i've just spent a very pleasant couple of hours checking out the updated wireviews site, complete with charles/graeme WMOUS email interview, and also renewing acquaintance with the Leaf label and others through the 'random play' feature on the posteverything site. a fantastic start with a piano piece by Rob Ellis (is this the same guy who played drums for PJ Harvey?), then Susumu Yokota, Silo, Ronnie & Clyde, Immersion, Symptoms, Malka, and a few others i can't remember right now. if any of you haven't done this yet and have a bit of spare time, i thoroughly recommend it. i also took some time to re-read the Newman interview on the 'Robots...' site, funny how some of the subject matter keeps reoccurring on the list...i may have said this before, but to be honest the old synapses have been overloading on a regular basis lately, due to increased workloads. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Aug 2001 00:32:32 +0100 From: Tim Subject: [idealcopy] Digestive Biscuits In last nights digest: Graeme Wrote >Did I ever tell you lot about the time my parents took >us to visit Robert Fripp's house in Coombe Bissett? " F**king Hell!!!! Well I'm male, educated, clean? Well I took a bath tonight as I do most nights! Completist? Only where Wire is concerned (and even then my collection is some way from being complete). Generally speaking I don't seek out the company of other men (98% of them are artless, arrogant, boring, macho, competetive, sporty tossers), and the lack of female contributions to this list does concern me, but fortunately most of the male participants seem to belong to that 2% of males that I can get along with. I do know at least one other female who loves Wire and has been my companion at all three Wire shows I saw last year and at the Garage dragged me backstage to try and persuade Colin and Graham to play in her native Iceland. (Mr Lewis was well up for it but no show so far!) Another female friend saw Wire with us at All Tommorows Parties and noted that during the latter half of their set as the pace accelerated (Mercy/Advantage in Height/Another the Letter/12XU/Drill) they displayed more energy than all the other bands on that weekend put together (including Shellac) _________________________ FENNESZ RULES!
