It wouldn't surprise me, although quite what EMI is doing with those releases is beyond me. My local CWNN now has all four EMI albums in at #4.99, whereas it usually has no Wire at all, presumably the "n"th repressing -- can't see them getting any cheaper than that! If you haven't got them, now's the time :) Craig. ===== - ------- Craig Grannell / Wireviews --- http://welcome.to/wireviews News, reviews and dugga. The theme itself is a weird hybrid of Do The Du and Shack-Up. How weird is that? Expect the next series of 'Changing Rooms' to be scored by Section 25. And just to stay on topic, has a Wire/related track ever been used as a TV theme tune? Wasn't Spoon by CAN the theme from a german cop-show or did I dream that? - -- ___________________________ Everyone's goin' Atari. www.kidsindestructible.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Jun 2001 04:58:21 +0100 From: Nik Subject: Re: [idealcopy] Factory Legends on Saturday Tea-time TV In message <3B355869.4040607@cwcom.net>, Tim Robinson >And just to stay on topic, has a Wire/related track ever been used as a >TV theme tune? I seem to remember a few bars from a certain very Wire-related Elastica song, recently, no idea which channel, though. One of the reasons why I'm so bad with television is Mr. I'm Still Waiting For My Brain Transplant. Ooh, the horror - how did you survive what, half an hour with glib, hollow and ugly? A medal, quick! Anyway, TV on a Saturday? No offence, but don't you have a life;) ? > Nik, off to the beach ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V4 #193 *******************************
