I would have to say that Asia stands as one of the biggest musical disappointments I have ever experienced! Especially since, having been a prog rock fan, I was actually looking forward to their debut album. Maybe GTR could be up there too, as I was a big Steve Hackett fan and felt he and Howe were slumming at that point. > and , whilst on the subject of off-topic crappiness > , i had a very bad experience today whilst thumbing > through this months "record collector". there was a > truly frightening picture of asia , i dunno about my > attempts to put together the worlds worst band - > these clowns must be the yardstick. wetton , howe , > emerson , downes ; an awesome selection of distilled > mediocrity. the photo was very strange , mr downes > appeared to be standing in his own personal wind > tunnel that only affected his hair and nobody elses. > wonder if asia did a few buggles covers for old > time's sake? it appears they are still going , > although only downes remains from the (ahem) > "classic" line-up. maybe wetton is unavailable due > to commitments on this roxy tour. probably touring > belgium as we speak.in a fur coat.p ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2001 18:44:26 +0000 (GMT) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Graeme=20Rowland?= Subject: [idealcopy] IBM on The Brain!
