I also got the same impression when I saw Colin & Malka on their PostEverything tour, that Colin really doesn't like to sing - that's really weird, and I think most (if not all) listers here would rate him as one of their favourite singers. It was doubly surprising to see him later with Wire, where he gave a completely different vocal performance. Despite of that, I really like the new songs (there were two of them) including the vocal track, and these together with Canvas (off swim team #1) really raise my expectations about the as-yet-unreleased-but-maybe-at-the-end-of-the-year-ish Colin/Malka album. > Also some Wire news: > They will be curating a fortnight of art events in > Whitechapel London in the Autumn. I'll definitely go for that (Venice could be nice as well, but I guess there won't be much of a chance to meet idealcopyists there). It was also very interesting to hear Colin talk about Wire. I didn't really understand how they expect to work more as a band - what was it like in previous incarnations, then? 4 individualists doing solo work together? I always considered Wire to be truly collaborative - 4 different viewpoints coalesce into one. How can you be more 'band' than that? giluz ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2001 12:46:04 -0500 From: "Syarzhuk Kazachenka" Subject: [idealcopy] Re: totallyradio Ok, I have the media player installed... now what? there's a bunch of programs out there, i searched in indie, techno and world, but there's no mention of colin anywhere.
