" I personally prefer the idea of people offering 'whatever' and then someone with a PC/Mac/bunch of tape loops/mic and a 4-tk making compositions. However, that doesn't mean that if someone also pushes the possibility of doing a track of a specific length that idea couldn't be explored too by those that wish to go down that route. Personally, I'd be happy to put together something with a bunch of samples *and* contribute a piece of 'x' seconds/minutes for the 'jam' approach. For the whole perversity of it, I would recommend that if the jam approach is taken by some, that its length is exactly three and a half minutes, so to create the ultimate anti-pop song under the same time format!
