For the most part, I liked what they did! Anyone else have any thoughts like these? " Kind of. IBTABA was one of two Wire albums that I didn't have on CD until recently, and when I finally bothered to grab a copy (having not listened to it in a year or so) I actually thought it was pretty good -- patchy, for sure, but good nonetheless. Reckon the review on the site might need changing at some point :) Having said that, the fact that bloody awful mix of In Vivo got onto that album still amazes me. Hi everyone, Okay, I just picked up the new PJ Harvey CD. And, I figured it out. (^_^) She's back to playing guitar again. In fact, there's only two other musicans (besides Thom Yorke on vocals) on the whole CD - Rob Ellis and Mick Harvey. So this CD has the trio sound that distinguished her first two CDs - this sounds like the 3rd album that should have come out right after Rid Of Me. Less rocky - more adult than the first two - but oddly akin to them. No - it's not daughter of "To Bring You My Love" nor is it son of "Is This Desire?". And, apparently, the live crew assembled she's assembled for shows is just that - the arrangements do not sound similar to the way she sounded live on the Tonight Show. Haven't heard the whole thing yet. I'll probably hold off on posting a general review to the list - feel free to e-mail me directly if you're curious about it. I just wanted to let the PJ Harvey fans on this list know what they were in for. (^_^) Cheers, Paul ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V3 #334 *******************************
